The Rejoicing of The Lord When Things Are In Order

The LORD your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you; He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing”. ~Zephaniah 3:17

This past month, the Lord has been pouring into me His truths about love. It is of utmost importance to understand that God IS love. He does not have love, which can denote that he can have more or less love for someone depending upon His mood, but that this is the very core of who God is. God IS love.

When I speak of love, a smile comes on my face. A joyful feeling begins to grow as I think about the people or a life experience with great meaning in my life. I am sure that for many of us, the act of organizing for our clients is one of our greatest joys. I tell my clients continually that organizing is like breathing, something I must do to keep everything alive in my life. After a successful session, you can find me dancing around the newly found space where chaos once stood. In my imagination, I see Jesus dancing with me because my joy is linked to His joy. Our God is a dancing celebratory God who loves to smile, laugh, and rejoice with us. Have you ever pondered the word rejoice? “Re” denotes something that is done over and over again. So the word means to not only have joy for a period but to experience joy repeatedly…. over and over…to rejoice every day.

Organizing is the vehicle that allows me to set His feet and hands into my client’s lives. But it is His love shining through my joy that communicates His presence to my clients.

Paul stated in 1 Cor. 13:1

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I am nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.”

This season of anticipated spring, we have the promise of renewal. God’s joy and love are intertwined not only through our thoughts and actions, but within the spaces, we renew.

My prayer for you, not just Spring, but every season, is that His love is manifested in each renewed space. And that He rejoices over you with dancing and singing. He calls you His child because His love IS boundless and eternal.
