When the disciple saw Him walking on the sea they were troubled, saying it is a ghost! And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid. So He said, Come. And when Peter had came down out of the boat he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out saying “Lord save me.”
-MATTHEW 14:26, 27, 29 & 30 NKJV
I have heard the words “save me” from many of my clients. They truly are desperate in their search for someone to come and conquer the clutter giants before them. On the surface, their expression may be interpreted that it is their lack of faith that keeps them from conquering the mountains of disorganization. They might also think that their perception is true because of the many battles they have fought on their own in the past, and yet, the clutter continues to reoccur.
As a Christian Professional Organizer, I have what the world does not have…. I have the Holy Spirit’s help to remind my client to keep their eyes on Jesus andbelieve that they do have the ability to conquer the “clutter mountains”. Transferring my skills will equip them to change their belief systems about their future and how they respond to clutter, then it is THEY who will become the conquerors. Clients gain a new found faith in themselves, and that faith will translate into new actions. They are even amazed that this process begins to change the way they think and it even changes their future desired actions. No longer do they spend hours shopping and researching the best products to fill their homes and lives.
After reading this blog, begin to ask the Lord to reveal how seeking out the help of a professional organizer can transform not only the cluttered spaces in your home, but in turn, the cluttered messages in your mind.
In the words of Matthew, “Lord…Save me”!
